Clear Round Show Jumpers' founder and owner, Stephanie Tropia, has spent her life riding beginning at the age of six in her native Germany.  She  began competing on her pony,  participating in team and individual Championships.

A natural competitor, she started at the local 'C' through 'A' rated shows, then moved up to national 'A' shows. At age ten she rode her first Warmblood, initially competing at the national level, then moving up to the International Young Rider division.  In addition, she participated in numerous team events helping her squad win the blue ribbon in the  Countries Team Championship. Stephanie trained for five years with  eminent international trainer, Hugo Simon, and has participated in many clinics with world class trainers like Achatz von Buchwald, and others. Stephanie also has competed successfully in Dressage and has won at the Prix St. Georges level.

Stephanie crossed the Atlantic in 1995.  Her American career took off  securing Grand Prix rides in the U.S. with purses from $10,000 to $77,000.

Combining her success in the show ring with her training credentials and contacts in Europe, she founded Clear Round Show Jumpers and began  importing top-bloodline European Warmbloods to train and sell in the U.S.  Her work ethic, honesty and love of horses has produced many great horse and rider combinations that are competing successfully.  To complement Clear Round Show Jumpers, Stephanie purchased a ten-acre modern European boarding facility in Houston, Texas.

Stephanie is  talented and dedicated, and her skills as a trainer and coach produced two North American Young Rider finalists who qualified for the 'A' Team and proved to be key assets to Zone 7.  Stephanie also produced many champions in the Hunter arena. Stephanie and her husband, Paolo, share all professional training activities at Clear Round.

Stephanie practices the classical German foundation: a quiet and organized approach to the entire course. This is accomplished by concentrating on improving the horse's rhythm and way of going, thereby improving the actual jump. Her accomplishments in the Dressage arena, competitive up to Prix St. George level, are a key factor in developing horses that are supple, balanced and extremely responsive.
