Training
Our relationship with our horses is based on trust which is achieved by
delivering clear and consistent signals. Once trust is built, our
horses accept us as trainers and perform tasks willingly and with
pleasure.
At Clear Round Show Jumpers we emphasize solid basics for both horse and
rider in a professional, relaxed environment. We start our horses
and riders out with the proper European Dressage foundation and we are
careful to move at the right pace where neither horse nor rider is
pushed too fast nor restricted from reaching their goals. We are
goal-oriented and help each of our riders reach their individual
objectives.
We are a professional training facility and
all training rides and lessons are conducted by
Paolo Tropia and Stephanie Tropia who are very successful, active Grand Prix
competitors. Both Paolo and Stephanie are self-motivated,
disciplined trainers with a strong work ethic. Horses have the
benefit of a regular schedule and a consistent environment. We
treat our clients and horses with respect and maintain a
professional atmosphere where the focus is on training horses, coaching clients
and achieving goals.
We offer a full range of services including longeing, stallion test preparation, body clipping and show preparation. Our resources include an eight horse walking machine and a treadmill for a complete range of training.
We pay a close attention to footing and have two riding arenas. Our indoor arena is covered and lighted while our outdoor arena features all weather footing.

We are constantly mindful that our horses are not
machines, but living animals that require the proper environment for
both physical and mental health. The health and happiness of our
horses is of utmost importance to us at Clear Round Show Jumpers. We
do not take shortcuts and believe the only way to achieve good results
is to invest the necessary time. Every horse is afforded
fairness in training and handled at all times with good horsemanship.
We also 'break' young horses although we like to think of it as
'making' rather than 'breaking.'

In-barn training is conducted on our two
arenas that contain two complete Grand Prix courses within our ten acre
facility. Our 125 x 225 foot outdoor arena is composed of all-weather footing while our 85 x
200 foot indoor arena covered and well-lighted. Both arenas have automatic watering
systems. Our horse gym is pictured below.
